Biography

Christin Pfeiffer is Secretary General at INSME – the International Network for SMEs since January 2012 founded under the umbrella of the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and the OECD. The network currently counts on the support of 99 members from 47 different countries. At INSME she is running several projects on international cooperation, innovation management and knowledge and technology transfer on a global scale. Since 2007 she has worked at APRE – Agency for the Promotion of European Research as appointed National Contact Point for international cooperation. She was directly involved in different FP7 projects and assisted SMEs in submitting research proposals to the Framework Programme as an expert for the specific Programme “Research for the benefit of SMEs”.
Christin Pfeiffer is particularly involved in training and transferring knowledge on a national and international scale with a special focus on project writing and managing, innovation management and creativity techniques.

She is a member of the Horizon 2020 SME Advisory Group created by the European Commission and part of the evaluation Committee of UNCTAD’s “Women in Business” Award 2014.
Prior she worked at DaimlerChrysler Italia (External Affairs and Public Policy) and as a Researcher for the Italian Government Institute for Industrial Promotion in the field of International Cooperation (projects on access to micro-finance and knowledge transfer). She graduated in Law, Economics and Italian Philology, (M.A.) and European Studies (M.E.S.).
