Giovanni Maria Riccio is professor of Comparative Law (University of Salerno, Italy) where he teaches IT Law. Attorney at law, is one of founders and of the partners of E-Lex, Belisario, Scorza, Riccio & Partners. He assists national and international firms of the IT sector. He has worked in several European Universities (Birbeck College, University of London; Oxford Intellectual Property Research Centre; Université de Grenoble) and a former consultant of the European Commission on the revision of the e-commerce directive. He is one of the editors of Medialaws, an international blog devoted to the law and policy of the new media. Professor Riccio has written and edited 5 books and more than 70 articles published in Italian and international reviews. His research area is mostly focused on IT law and intellectual property.
