Saks 5th Avenue is leaving the Galleria

Yes, it was. Off the top of my head, in women’s shoes, the only premium designer brands left at Saks in the past year red bottoms are Jimmy Choo, Prada (though I didn’t see a fall delivery, just last spring’s), christian louboutin replica Miu Miu (Prada’s lower priced, more contemporary line) and a pitiful, matronly assortment from Ferragamo. Maybe a few skus from Brian Atwood or Giuseppe Zanotti from time to time. The rest of the shoe assortment was “opening price point” designer Kate Spade, Kors Michael Kors, Juicy, Vera Wang flats (retail for about $200 no relation to her $5000 wedding dresses), Uggs.

Compared to Neiman’s premium shoe assortment which includes Chanel, Lanvin, Charlotte Olympia, Dior, Christian Louboutin + Manolo Blahnik (if you don’t sell Louboutin or Manolo in this town, good luck drawing this customer in.), YSL, Tod’s, Gucci, McQueen, a humongous selection of Prada Miu Miu, Chloe, etc. Plus a better selection of the OPP brands more Kate Spade, more Vera Wang flats, Tory Burch, Stuart Weitzman, DVF, etc.

Same thing in Handbags. And Jewelry. And don’t get me started on women’s rtw. The designer clothing selections at Saks were paltry to this retailer, it looked like the basically only had the brands that would sell them vs the desirable brands and more fashion forward brands (it was all muted St John, Armani Collezioni, Max Mara, a little bit of Ralph, some Escada. No Herrera. No Oscar. No Chanel. None of the cool “new kids” like Jason Wu, Lela Rose, Alexander Wang, etc.

About 1/3 of the square footage on the 2nd floor has been completely walled off over the years. Their bridal salong red bottom boots shut down a few years ago at Saks louboutin replica compare red bottom pumps to Neiman’s amazing salon downtown, which is the “gold standard” of Bridal in Dallas with Monique Lhullier, Vera Wang, Reem Acra, Amsale, Kenneth replica louboutin Pool and all of the PA’s and trunk shows that go along with those collections.

Thats quite a blanketed, judgemental statement full of venom toward people you dont red bottom shoes know personally, and their retail buying choices.

There are 6 purely negative statements you have made towards people and their retail buying choices. Rich, shallow, spoiled, tacky, sad, self absorbed. .

There is nothing about your statement that adds anything to the current conversation other than a hint of an obvious personal experience which you are taking out on the red bottom heels board, with people you have never met. I think the items in the department store are def catered to the market your in.

Personally speaking if we replica christian louboutin are talking on brand, I think the true designer luxury brands will not have their goods trickle down to the TJ maxxes and marshals of the world.

At one point it was great to go in and find a bargain and the outlets were good.

Perfect example is COACH. In my mind, coach is the brand that is ebay, reproduced, and now available as a store in the outlets. Its not a luxury, nor designer brand. just cough up the clams. There is no difference if you go in to macys to grab a pair of dockers or haggar or Ralph Lauren.

There are so many variables in luxury retail vs “the others”. Do you have to dress a certain way, whats your budget, do you go for classic pieces and spend more, or super trendy and have a closet full of H whats your age range, whats your style.

Maybe Saks just didnt do it for their customers, both in the retail offerings and customer service.Articles Connexes:
