Lorenzo Meschini graduated in Civil Engineering cum laude in 2001. Since 2005, he is a PhD in Transportation Engineering. His scientific experience was completed by a 2-year postdoc research fellowship on dynamic assignment models and algorithms. In parallel, he worked as a transport planning consultant. He has a strong scientific and technical experience in the field of simulation, analysis, planning and management of transport systems. In particular, he managed a number of international projects in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Transport Planning, with particular reference to: simulation and analysis of multimodal transport networks; design and realization of Traffic forecast, management, control and information systems; traffic lights optimization systems; traffic information, routing and intermodal journey planning services; Transport Master plans of cities and regions. He has authored many international scientific publications, and has addressed many international conferences. He is co-founder and CEO of SISTeMA srl, Spin-off of the University “La Sapienza” and part of the PTV Group. Founded in 2009, SISTeMA provides software solutions and services for traffic forecast and management, dynamic routing, journey planning and info-mobility applications. In 2014 he co- founded the Startup Movesion srl, focused innovative product and services for smart and sustainable mobility.
